In this booklet photographs of all the surviving blocks of the Parthenon Frieze filled in with the preserved drawings of J. Carrey (1674) and J. Stuart (1751) are assembled so as to give the fullest possible picture of the whole. Thus the reader can reconstruct the Frieze as it was once composed by its creators, grasp the magnificence of the work, understand the direct relationship between the architecture and the sculpture and follow the history of the building through the Frieze.
