During the Christmas celebrations in the Acropolis Museum the Department of Information and Education organised (23-28.12.2012) holiday workshops entitled “Eiresione and the Carols” reviving the ancient greek tradition of decorating olive tree branches. Children, aged 7-12 years old, learned about the ancient greek custom of Eiresione, decorated their own olive tree branch by hanging their wishes and listened to 3000 year-old carols.
