The Parthenon Frieze
A digital application for the presentation of The Parthenon Frieze. Viewers are introduced to the frieze themes, navigate to specific blocks and find out information about each scene represented. Children are encouraged to use the application's online educational games.
The application was developed by the Ministry of Culture - Acropolis Restoration Service - First Ephorate of Prehistoric & Classical Antiquities and the National Documentation Centre (ΕΚΤ).
Athena, Goddess of the Acropolis
A digital application about goddess Athena, a deity directly connected with Athens, the city that bears her name, and the Acropolis. Viewers are encouraged to look for objects (dedications, offerings, statues, reliefs, pottery) related to the goddess among the various exhibits of the Museum of Acropolis. Each object echoes the importance of Athena in the realms of ancient tradition, everyday life and artistic representation.
The application was developed by the Ministry of Culture - Acropolis Restoration Service - First Ephorate of Prehistoric & Classical Antiquities and the Museum of Acropolis with a grant provided by a Bodosakis Foundation.
