Οn December 29, 2025, on the occasion of the expiry of fixed-term contracts, the families of all employees were given, for the first time, the opportunity to visit the Parthenon worksite and to learn about the nature of the works involved in the restoration of ancient monuments. Visitors had the opportunity to closely observe the processes of restoring the marble blocks of the walls of the Parthenon cella, the work of carving large supplements for the orthostates of the west pediment and to appreciate the scale of the architectural members, as well as the particular difficulties in handling them on site. An old request was fulfilled with great success, and the Family Day is hoped to be established as a new institution, with the prospect of its expansion to sectors of YSMA, largely because it was supported by the experience and the enthusiasm of the employees in explaining their working methods.
