On October 6, 2023, YSMA signed a contract with the company that will carry out the project “Permanent stabilisation measures of Agrippa’s pedestal on the Acropolis of Athens”.The project, which is planned to be completed by the end of the year, is part of the second phase of the restoration work of the Agrippa monument and is being implemented within the framework of the Operational Program Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation (NSRF 2014-2020) with co-financing from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union.
We inform the visitors of the archaeological site of the Acropolis that due to the planned works on the monument, the route descending from the archaeological site around the Agrippa’s pedestal, will remain closed for safety reasons, for all the above mentioned period. We kindly ask for the public’s understanding regarding the problems that will be caused to the smooth functioning of the archaeological site.
